Finance and Administrative Intern – Ecommerce Industry

Our client is currently looking forward to hire Finance and Administrative Intern. The Intern will be responsible for accounts reconciliation, issues invoices to customers, assist in budget preparation, keep stock of office supplies among other duties.

Responsibilities

 

Finance and Accounts (90%)

  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including documentation and reconciliations
  • Support in budget preparation
  • Support in keeping organized financial records
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
  • Issue invoices to customers
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Pursuing customer payments
  • Customer accounts reconciliation and preparation of customer statements
  • Learn and recognize triggers based on customer behavior and engage with customers who request to terminate or downgrade service
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations

 

Administration (10%)

  • Keep stock of office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Manage on-boarding to suppliers, partner

 

What we expect from you

  • Major in finance or any economics related niche
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • At least a year’s experience in working in a finance or administrative role
  • Experience with working with office suites and utilities, and at least the desire to work with office collaboration tools
  • Ability to manage internal and external correspondence
  • Exceptional organization and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
